Holder of the Swiss bar patent (« titulaire du brevet d’avocat », Canton of Geneva), qualified as a Solicitor (England & Wales), formerly admitted to the New York Bar (USA), and trained at Oxford U, Cambridge U, New York University (NYU) and Geneva U, I founded Schmid Legal Consulting to offer individuals, families and organisations in Switzerland the kind of senior, experienced, multi-layered legal advice that is usually only available to large corporations.
My career spans international law firms and the Swiss Federal Administrative Tribunal, where I served as a clerk for 6 years and gained extensive experience in migration law, naturalisation, family reunification and visa issues.
I advise on Swiss, English and international law with a particular focus on the needs of the expat community in Switzerland — bringing Swiss legal expertise to those with international connections in a globalised world, with clarity, personal attention and genuine commitment to every matter.
